Guidelines for Camera-Ready Manuscripts
|
The hardcopy proceedings of MMSP99 will be a 6"x 9" size
bound book. It will be printed from the camera-ready manuscript
that you provided. Please adhere to the following style
specifications.
- Size --- The page limit for papers (oral and poster) is
6 pages. The page limit for demos is 2 pages. The text should
be printed on normal good bond paper (size A4 or letter) and
the length should be 7 5/8 in for each page. The text width
should be 4 5/8 in. The top margin should not be less than 1.5
in. Note: The publisher will reduce your manuscipt in size such
that it fits into the hardcopy proceedings.
- Type style --- The first line of each Section and
Subsection, as well as that of the Abstract should be indented
3/16 in (or 1~pica). All the other lines should be justified
(flush left and flush right). The text should be typed
single-space in 10pt Times Roman.
- Abstract --- The abstract should be typed 9pt Times
Roman bold, at 0.3 in from both the Author and Affiliation
field and the Introduction Section.
- Titles, headings and captions ---
- Main title --- The main title of the paper should
be 14pt Times Roman, all capitals and centered.
- Author name(s) and affiliation --- The author
name(s) should be 10pt Times Roman bold, initially
capitalized. The affiliation should be placed directly
under the corresponding name(s).
- Abstract title --- The word "Abstract"
should appear at the beginning of the abstract text,
indented, bold.
- Section headings --- Section headings should be
12pt Times Roman bold, all capitals, flush left, one blank
line before, one blank line after.
- Subsection headings --- Subsection headings should
be 11pt Times Roman bold, initially capitalized, flush left.
- Subsubsection headings --- Subsubsection headings
should be at the same level of the text, boldface 10pt,
flush left.
- Captions --- Captions should be set in 10pt Times
Roman and centered beneath the corresponding figure or
table. Allow at least 1/2 line space above the caption to
the illustration or table and 1 line below the caption to
the text.
- Figures and Tables --- Please position the figures and
tables at the appropriate place within the paper. Please make
sure that the font size in the figures and tables are legible,
no smaller than 9 pt. For a better reproduction quality, you
are encouraged to attach glossy prints of images rather than
postscript prints from a laser printer. You should carefully
paste your photos in the correct position.
- Acknowledgments --- The Acknowledgment Section should
appear after the paper body and before the References Section
(or the Appendices), and treated as a regular Section.
- Appendices --- Appendices, if any, should be placed
right before the References Section and treated as regular
Sections.
- References --- The References Section should be the last
Section of the paper. In the References Section, please
introduce a blank line between items. In the text, the
citations should have the form of a bracketed number e.g.,
[13], or [3],[4], and should follow the IEEE citation styles,
as illustrated in the sample paper.
Please mark lightly, using a pencil, on the back
of each page of the submitted camera-ready copy, the paper number
and the page number.
Please return a signed copyright form with your camera-ready
paper.
