ABSTRACT:
We discuss the independent component problem within a context of multimedia
applications. The literature offers several independent component
analysis schemes which can be applied in this context, and
each have its own trade-off between flexibility, complexity and computational ef
fort.
The specific applications investigated in this chapter comprise modeling of
speech/sound, images, and text data.
